The ideal candidate will boast extensive expertise in quantity surveying and will demonstrate exceptional proficiency in contract administration, particularly with NEC3/4 contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage all aspects of quantity surveying activities for infrastructure/nuclear sector projects, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and timelines.
· Provide expert advice on NEC3/4 contract administration, including contract interpretation, negotiation, and dispute resolution.
· Conduct thorough cost analysis and prepare accurate estimates for project budgets, variations, and final accounts.
· Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery and cost control.
· Oversee the procurement process, including tendering, subcontractor selection, and contract award.
· Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
· Mentor and support junior members of the quantity surveying team, sharing knowledge and best practices to facilitate their professional development.
· Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to enhance collaboration and drive successful project outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
· MRICS or similar professional accreditation preferred.
· Minimum of 10 years' experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on infrastructure
· Proven track record in administering NEC3/4 contracts and managing complex contractual issues.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
· Proficiency in relevant software tools such as MS Excel, CostX, and industry-specific project management software.
