Overview
Are you an Electrical Design Engineer looking for a role that offers technical variety, professional growth and involvement across a wide range of building projects? This opportunity could be an excellent fit. Due to continued project demand, a multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to strengthen its electrical engineering team. You’ll join a collaborative group working on new-build and refurbishment schemes across multiple sectors, with the chance to contribute to projects from early concepts through to detailed design.

The Role
You’ll play a key part in the delivery of electrical building services design, including:
- Producing detailed designs as part of a wider project team
- Working with CAD, BIM (Revit) and other design tools to develop building services systems
- Other design tools such as Amtech, Dialux, and Relux would be useful but not essential
- Creating project-specific electrical solutions and equipment layouts
- Collaborating closely with structural engineers, architects, surveyors and contractors
- Providing guidance to clients on energy efficiency, sustainability and reducing carbon impact
About You
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Experience in electrical design within the built environment
- Progress towards chartership (or chartered status), ideally through a recognised professional institution
- Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- A proactive, organised approach and an enthusiasm for learning and professional development
