I’m supporting a well-established and growing consultancy that is looking to appoint an ambitious Building Surveyor to join their Manchester office. This is a key opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and play a pivotal role in the ongoing growth of their Building Surveying service across the North West.

Whether you’re a recently Chartered Surveyor ready for your next step or an Senior Surveyor seeking greater responsibility, this role offers a blend of technical delivery, client-facing work and team involvement. You’ll take ownership of professional and project instructions while contributing to the development of the Manchester team. Clear long-term progression is available across leadership, account management or specialist technical routes.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Delivery
- Deliver a wide range of building surveying commissions, with a strong focus on dilapidations, pre-acquisition surveys and technical due diligence.
- Support project work across commercial sectors including industrial, office, retail and independent living.
Team Support & Leadership
- Work closely with senior figures in the Manchester office, helping shape and develop a growing team.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior surveyors.
Client Relationships
- Act as a trusted advisor, delivering high-quality advice and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.
- Represent the business professionally and consistently uphold their client-focused values.
Growth & Development
- Identify opportunities to support service growth and develop your own client relationships.
- Be part of a collaborative culture focused on development, support and high technical standards.
About You
- MRICS-qualified, with solid technical and professional building surveying experience.
- Confident with dilapidations, TDD and condition surveys.
- Organised, collaborative and able to support junior colleagues.
- A credible communicator who builds strong rapport with clients.
- Commercially aware, proactive and motivated by contributing to a growing, ambitious team.
