Associate Mechanical Engineer – Birmingham

Our client is a multi-disciplinary design consultancy delivering projects across diverse and specialised sectors, including residential housing, logistics, retail, aviation, healthcare, education, advanced manufacturing, data centres, energy, and more.

They are looking to expand their Birmingham City Centre office with the addition of an Associate Mechanical Design Engineer. You will be playing a key part in leading and managing design projects from concept design to RIBA stage 3 across a variety of sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for Principal Mechanical Engineers with experience leading projects to take the next step up in their career or an experienced Associate Engineer looking for more prestigious national projects.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Support and lead design projects from concept design to RIBA Stage 3.

·      Leading team of engineers, modellers, technicians.

·      Liaise with the BIM team to refine deliverables to meet project programs and deliverables.

·      Liaising with external clients and building relationships, acting as technical lead in meetings.

·      Support the development of the education sector and business development initiatives.

The Person:

·      4+ years experience as Principal Engineer or experience as Associate Engineer.

·      Experienced in client engagement including organising and leading meetings.

·      Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, IES, Hevacomp, Bluebeam (not all essential).

·      Ideally some experience in education sector.
