Our Client is a leading construction consultancy with a substantial presence in the energy sector, specialising in delivering major capital programs within the power industry. Their focus is on innovation, sustainability, and excellence in project delivery. They are currently seeking a highly experienced Major Projects Lead to join their dynamic team.

Role overview -

As the Major Projects Lead, you will be responsible for leading and delivering a major capital program within the power sector. The scope of the project involves a large-scale infrastructure initiative aimed at enhancing the power transmission networks with a valuation of around £100 million. This project will entail extensive interface management with stakeholders, and you will serve as the client lead, overseeing all activities associated with the project, including executive-level leadership and briefing within the organisation.

Your day-to-day -

• Act as the sole lead of the program, responsible for all aspects of project management and delivery.
• Interface with key stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Provide executive-level briefing on the progress and status of the program to internal stakeholders and senior management.
• Navigate complex stakeholder environments and effectively manage relationships to drive project success.
• Coordinate and collaborate with various departments and business units to ensure seamless integration and delivery of the program objectives.

About you -

• Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering major capital programs, with a budget of £80million or more.
• Experience within the power/energy sector, preferably with a focus on nuclear, power generation, or similar projects.
• Strong understanding of leading major programs in complex stakeholder environments, with the ability to navigate challenges and drive alignment.
• Demonstrated ability to pull together different parts of businesses to engage and deliver on major programs.
• Experience interfacing with major electricity transmission stakeholders is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to brief executives on the progress and status of major programs.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
