Senior Civil Engineer – Derby

£42,000 - £55,000 + Hybrid + Rapid Progression

I’m working with a well-established independent Civil and Structural Design Consultancy based in central Derby, they are currently at a growth period with incoming projects and are looking to grow the civil engineering team with the addition of a Senior Civil Engineer.

This consultancy offers the chance to work on a diverse range of projects from small to large covering foundations, building floor slabs, retaining walls, roads, and earthworks across a range of sectors such as residential developments, commercial, warehouses, education, conservation and heritage, shops and retail.

This is a great opportunity to develop experience in a consultancy that’s able to offer greater exposure to projects than the typical consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

·      Leading the design of drainage, roads, external works for residential and commercial developments.

·      Managing projects and mentoring junior engineers and technicians.

·      Liaising with clients, contractors, local authorities and the wider team.

·      Producing and reviewing technical drawings, calculations, and reports.

·      Using software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage.

What We’re Looking For

·      Degree qualified in Civil Engineering.

·      Chartered or working towards chartership with ICE or similar body.

·      Proven UK experience in infrastructure and drainage design.

·      Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage or Flow.

·      Strong communication and project management skills.
