Vertical Recruitment are currently working with a renowned engineering and environmental design consultancy, recognised for its technical excellence and client satisfaction.

An opportunity has opened for a Principal Structural Engineer within their Birmingham City Centre office where you will play a key role in leading project teams across national projects.

Our client focuses on creating cost-effective, energy-efficient, and sustainable building projects across a variety of sectors. These include leisure, education, residential, health, commercial and retail.

Key Responsibilities

·      Lead project teams, ensure project viability and manage workloads.

·      Managing multi-sector projects including both technical and commercial aspects.

·      Build and maintain relationships with internal design teams and external clients.

·      Engage in all stages of design from early-stage design concepts to construction.

The Person

·      8+ years post-graduate experience in Structural Engineering.

·      Experience leading and managing technical staff.

·      Experience across multiple sectors including high-rise residential, education, industrial and more.

·      Ideally chartered or working towards chartership but not essential.
