This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to take on a leadership role in delivering technically excellent solutions for complex building projects.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing mechanical design expertise, leading project teams, and ensuring high-quality design delivery. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders to develop innovative and efficient building services solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage mechanical building services design for a variety of projects, ensuring high standards and compliance with industry regulations.
- Oversee the development of mechanical systems, including HVAC, public health, and ventilation, to meet project requirements.
- Guide project teams and mentoring junior engineers.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and other engineering
- Conduct design reviews, feasibility studies, and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and sustainability best practices.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, maintaining strong relationships and providing expert advice.
- Support bids and proposals, contributing technical input and project planning expertise.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience within a consultancy environment
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, public health systems, and sustainable design principles.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in design software such as IES, Hevacomp, Revit, and AutoCAD.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative and efficient solutions.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or a related discipline).
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) with membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., CIBSE, IMechE).
