Senior Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure Projects
Location: Leeds (Blend of office, home, and client site working)

Vertical Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a leading international construction consultancy to find a talented Senior Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager to join their expanding infrastructure team. With a growing portfolio of major UK projects across transport, utilities, technology, and renewables, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with clear progression pathways and a genuine commitment to professional development.
Whether you're a Senior QS looking to manage larger projects and lead small teams, or a Cost Manager progressing towards chartership, this role offers real scope to shape your career within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Role Highlights:
· You'll play a key role in delivering end-to-end commercial and cost management support on high-profile UK infrastructure schemes. Daily responsibilities could include:
· Full pre- and post-contract cost management support
· Budget tracking, forecasting, and cost reporting
· Contract administration (NEC3/4 and JCT)
· Procurement and tender support
· Commercial audits and financial assurance
· Managing compensation events and change control
· Stakeholder engagement across clients, contractors, and consultants
· Using systems such as PRISM, CEMAR, CostX, and Viewpoint
What They’re Looking For:
· Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline
· Ideally chartered or working toward MRICS / MCIOB / similar (full support provided)
· Demonstrable experience within the UK infrastructure sector
· Solid knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial procedures
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships
· A proactive, flexible attitude with a genuine passion for infrastructure
