Intermediate Mechanical Engineer - Liverpool

Vertical Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join an award winning multidisciplinary consultancy in Liverpool, as demand for their expertise continues to grow.

Projects range from large industrial and commercial schemes valued at over £30 million, through to smaller, bespoke developments. Sectors include education, commercial, high end residential, retail, industrial and leisure.

Role and Responsibilities

• Supporting the delivery of mechanical building services designs as part of a wider project team
• Using CAD and BIM software, including Revit, to produce detailed designs
• Assisting with the design of site specific mechanical systems including HVAC, ventilation and public health services
• Supporting site activities and contributing to installation and commissioning stages
• Working closely with other disciplines including structural engineers, architects and contractors
• Attending project and technical meetings
• Ensuring designs comply with relevant regulations and health and safety standards
• Supporting energy efficient design solutions and sustainable building practices

Experience and Skills Required

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• Working towards Chartered Engineer status
• Ideally working towards or already a member of CIBSE
• Some experience within a consultancy environment
• Understanding of mechanical design principles across a range of building types
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
