Vertical Recruitment are working with an award-winning civil and structural engineering consultancy with an excellent reputation for the delivery of complex and specialist projects. Formed in 2007, they have grown to employ seventy engineers, technicians and support staff across the North. Since 2007, they have delivered around 4,000 schemes with a total project value approaching £3.5 billion.


They are now looking for an ambitious and well-rounded Senior Structural Engineer who can identify innovative and cost effective strategies and design solutions.to join their Manchester office.


The successful candidate will be working with a highly motivated and committed team delivering an exciting range of civil and structural engineering schemes across a broad range of sectors including education, healthcare, industrial & logistics, residential and regeneration.

  • A hands-on approach to projects 
  • A natural troubleshooter who can find simple, efficient solutions to identified challenges or complications
  • A keen interest in the design and structure of buildings SKILLS


EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years experience in the industry with Chartership or nearing chartered status
  • Experience managing the C&S engineering delivery of projects varying from £1m to £50m
  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work effectively and efficiently within a team
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • The ability to liaise well with professionals from other disciplines
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant software
  • Sound understanding of physics and mathematics
  • Three-dimensional conceptual skills
  • Extremely strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
