Senior Structural Engineer – Derby

£42,000 - £52,000 + Hybrid + Rapid Progression

I’m working with a well-established independent Civil and Structural Design Consultancy based in central Derby, they are currently at a growth period with incoming projects and are looking to grow the structural engineering team with the addition of a Senior Structural Engineer.

This consultancy offers the chance to work on a diverse range of projects from small to large covering portal frames, offices, factories, warehouses, education, shops and retail, residential, refurbishment, heritage, and more.

This is a great opportunity to develop experience in a consultancy that’s able to offer greater exposure to projects than the typical consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

·      Leading the design of new build structures and refurbishment projects.

·      Managing projects and mentoring junior engineers and technicians.

·      Liaising with clients, contractors, local authorities and the wider team.

·      Producing and reviewing technical drawings, calculations, and reports.

·      Using software such as AutoCAD, Tekla Tedds, Tekla Structural Designer, and ideally Revit.

What We’re Looking For

·      Degree qualified in Structural Engineering.

·      Chartered or working towards chartership with IStructE or similar body.

·      Proven UK experience in structural calculations and design.

·      Proficient in AutoCAD, Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Tedds, ideally in CADS RC and Revit.

·      Strong communication and project management skills.
