M&E Quantity Surveyor

We are working with a leading consultancy that is looking for a qualified Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager with experience in MEP projects to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4+ years’ experience, be self-motivated, and confident in a client-facing role managing multiple projects.


Key Responsibilities


  • Delivering projects on a day-to-day basis
  • Engaging with clients and developing strong relationships
  • Managing cost management strategies and delivery
  • Establishing and implementing effective processes and systems
  • Producing cost plans, feasibility studies, and option appraisals
  • Compiling and issuing cost reports
  • Assessing, tracking, and reporting on change management
  • Managing risk processes and value management
  • Working with supply chains and implementing effective procurement
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and designers
  • Managing sub-consultants and construction managers


Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience
  • Strong verbal, numerical, and report/proposal writing skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple projects
  • Experience in delivering large projects (up to £100m)
  • JCT and NEC contract experience
  • Build-to-Rent (BTR) experience
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary organisation
  • Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
