We are working with a leading consultancy that is looking for a qualified Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager with experience in MEP projects to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4+ years’ experience, be self-motivated, and confident in a client-facing role managing multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering projects on a day-to-day basis
- Engaging with clients and developing strong relationships
- Managing cost management strategies and delivery
- Establishing and implementing effective processes and systems
- Producing cost plans, feasibility studies, and option appraisals
- Compiling and issuing cost reports
- Assessing, tracking, and reporting on change management
- Managing risk processes and value management
- Working with supply chains and implementing effective procurement
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and designers
- Managing sub-consultants and construction managers
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience
- Strong verbal, numerical, and report/proposal writing skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple projects
- Experience in delivering large projects (up to £100m)
- JCT and NEC contract experience
- Build-to-Rent (BTR) experience
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary organisation
- Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
