Senior Building Surveyor – London | £75,000 + Bonus + Benefits

We are working with a highly respected consultancy to appoint an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join their growing London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who is looking to take the next step in their career within a dynamic and supportive environment.
As a Senior Building Surveyor, you’ll be working on a broad range of commercial property projects across sectors including office, retail, industrial, healthcare and education. You’ll be given autonomy, responsibility, and the chance to lead on complex schemes while also supporting and mentoring junior team members.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out inspections and advising on the design, construction, maintenance and refurbishment of commercial buildings.
- Preparing detailed technical reports, schedules of works, specifications and dilapidation assessments.
- Leading refurbishment and repair schemes under recognised contracts, acting as Contract Administrator or Project Manager.
- Advising on statutory matters including Building Regulations, Party Wall Act, and the Building Safety Act.
- Supporting clients with pre-acquisition surveys, technical due diligence, defect diagnosis and insurance reinstatement projects.
- Providing guidance to APC candidates and contributing to the continued growth of the team.
What we’re looking for:
- MRICS qualified (essential).
- A strong technical background in building surveying with experience in commercial property.
- Solid understanding of construction contracts and professional consultancy services.
- Strong client-facing skills and a commercial mindset.
- Organised, detail-focused, and able to work independently on high-value instructions.
- Previous experience in mentoring or supervising junior team members would be an advantage.
