We are working on an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a respected, independent Construction Consultancy, recognised for delivering expert Cost Management and Project Controls services across major infrastructure programmes.


This role will see you embedded within a newly awarded AMP 8 framework with Welsh Water (Dŵr Cymru), supporting the Better Rivers Programme across North Wales. This is a high-profile, long-term commission involving the upgrade and modernisation of water and wastewater infrastructure in the region.


The Role

As part of the Infrastructure Division, you will be responsible for post-contract commercial management and cost reporting across a portfolio of water-related projects. The successful candidate will work closely with client teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery under the NEC suite of contracts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial management of water infrastructure projects from contract award to final account.
  • Provide full post-contract Quantity Surveying services, including the management of interim valuations, compensation events, and final accounts.
  • Administer and manage contracts in compliance with NEC3 / NEC4 ECC Options A, C, or E.
  • Manage cost forecasting, risk, and cash flow to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
  • Produce and maintain accurate commercial reports and cost data to support informed decision-making.
  • Work collaboratively with the client team and contractor to support proactive issue resolution.
  • Assist with developing and nurturing long-term client relationships.
  • Contribute to the wider business development efforts and growth of the infrastructure team.


Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role within infrastructure, preferably water/wastewater or regulated utility sectors.
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 ECC, including Options A, C or E.
  • Excellent contract administration and post-contract management skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects or frameworks simultaneously.
  • Confident communicator with strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving and commercial risk management.
  • Ability to work up to 3 days per week from client offices in North Wales or on-site as required.


Desirable Attributes

  • Previous experience on water industry frameworks such as AMP 6/7/8.
  • NEC3 or NEC4 Project Manager Accreditation.
  • Familiarity with contract management systems (e.g., CEMAR).
  • Based in, or able to regularly travel to, North Wales and surrounding areas.
