Senior Civil Engineer (Roads and Drainage)

Role Overview

Expertise: Road and drainage design (essential)

Location: Wigan, with hybrid working options

Duration: Minimum 12 months

Rates: Competitive (Outside IR35)

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality civil engineering design solutions across a variety of projects, contributing to the continued success and growth of the consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage, and utilities, from inception to completion.
• Manage project teams, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Develop detailed designs using industry-standard software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage (or similar).
• Oversee the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and calculations.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Contribute to business development, including bid preparation and client liaison.
