Senior Architectural Technician

Location: Manchester (Hybrid working)

Salary: Up to £40,000 + benefits

I am working with a well-established and design-focused architectural practice in Manchester to recruit a Senior Architectural Technician. The studio has an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality projects across multiple sectors, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, technical expertise, and sustainable design.

The Role

Our client is looking for an experienced job runner who can confidently manage projects through RIBA Stages 3 to 7. The role will involve working on a mix of residential recladding and industrial developments, particularly storage and logistics schemes. You will take responsibility for coordinating design and delivery, ensuring technical accuracy and smooth communication between all parties.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects from technical design through to completion (RIBA 3–7)
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams
• Produce detailed technical drawings and 3D models using Revit
• Oversee design quality, compliance, and site coordination
• Mentor and support junior colleagues where needed

About You

• Proven experience as a job runner within architecture or design delivery
• Strong technical knowledge with proficiency in Revit (essential)
• Good understanding of Building Regulations and recladding standards
• Experience in residential or industrial sectors preferred
• Organised, proactive, and confident working independently and collaboratively
