Senior Transport Planner – Bristol

The Role

This is an opportunity to join a growing multidisciplinary team in Bristol, working on a diverse range of transport planning projects. You’ll take on responsibility for delivering technical reports, supporting project delivery, and mentoring junior team members, while also playing a key role in developing the regional transport planning offering.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Transport Notes, Statements, Assessments and Travel Plans
• Apply relevant local and national transport policy and guidance
• Use software such as Junctions 10, LinSig/Quickgreen, TRICS, TEMPro
• Use GIS software (e.g. QGIS, ArcGIS, MapInfo, Basemap TRACC)
• Carry out preliminary highway design using AutoCAD
• Liaise with clients, local authorities and other stakeholders
• Assist with project management tasks and oversee technical delivery
• Support and mentor junior staff
• Contribute to team growth in the Bristol office

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ industry experience
• Strong understanding of transport planning principles and tools
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Experience working with private and public sector clients
• Chartered or working towards chartership (e.g. CIHT, TPS, IHE, TPP, CILT)
