Vertical Recruitment is working in partnership with a highly respected and growing project and development management consultancy. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused and motivated Project Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join a forward-thinking business that’s actively investing in its future and its people.

The consultancy provides commercially driven advice across both new developments and existing property, covering a wide range of sectors throughout the UK. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, client-focused services, they are now looking to grow their team with professionals who are keen to develop and grow within a supportive, director-led environment.

The Role:

You’ll be working across all stages of the project lifecycle, supporting clients in both pre- and post-contract phases. The role will combine elements of project management and quantity surveying, making it ideal for someone with a broad skill set and a hands-on approach.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Manage and deliver a range of commercial projects from inception to completion

·      Provide cost planning, procurement advice, and contract administration (primarily JCT)

·      Support clients through pre-construction phases, feasibility, and financial appraisals

·      Monitor progress on site, manage cost control and reporting

·      Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors

·      Contribute to the wider growth and development of the team

What They’re Looking For:

·      Experience in a Project Management, Quantity Surveying or hybrid PM/QS role

·      Background in consultancy or client-side environments

·      Strong commercial acumen and client-facing experience

·      Knowledge of JCT contracts (NEC experience beneficial)

·      Ambition to grow with a business and take on greater responsibility

·      Degree-qualified in a relevant construction-related discipline

·      RICS chartered or working towards is desirable
