OPEN ASSIGNMENT
UX/UI Designer
Design clear, accessible and usable digital experiences across a varied portfolio of projects.
About EOLIS
EOLIS connects specialists in Marketing, Digital, Design and Communication with leading organisations in Belgium. Our consultants and freelancers strengthen our clients' teams with the expertise and flexibility they need for temporary projects, transformation programmes and long-term assignments.
We work across a wide range of sectors and environments, from structured corporate teams to fast-growing companies. By building strong relationships with both our clients and experts, we aim to create assignments that match your experience, ambitions and preferred way of working.
About the assignment
EOLIS is looking for a medior UX/UI Designer to join a large Belgian corporate organisation in the Brussels region. You will be part of an established UX/UI design team as a flexible pool designer, working on the projects where design capacity is needed most. One quarter you focus on an internal tool for employees, the next on a customer self-service journey or a page of the public website. The design team lead sets your priorities every quarter, and you also help improve how the team works through design operations.
Your responsibilities
Design across projects
- Take end-to-end ownership of flows and features, from internal business tools and field-service interfaces to self-service journeys, e-commerce and the corporate website.
- Create wireframes, user flows, high-fidelity screens and clickable prototypes, and shape new concepts together with business stakeholders.
- Adapt your approach to each context: efficiency and functional density for internal tools, brand consistency, accessibility and multilingual quality for public channels.
- Present and defend your design choices to stakeholders and deliver clear handovers to developers.
Research and improvement
- Plan and run user research that fits the project, from quick usability tests to structured studies.
- Analyse analytics, customer feedback and research insights to spot usability issues and translate them into concrete improvements.
Team and design operations
- Collaborate closely with fellow designers, business analysts and developers.
- Contribute to the design system, research library and toolkit, and support design ops with documentation, templates and new practices (around 20% of your time, more in some quarters).
Your profile
- At least 3 years of UX/UI experience on digital products in a large or complex organisation, including hands-on user research and usability testing.
- Strong UI craft in Figma: flows, wireframes, high-fidelity design, prototyping and working with components and design systems.
- Autonomous: able to scope an unclear problem, make decisions and move it forward without close supervision.
- Comfortable switching between projects, teams and audiences without losing quality, with solid planning skills and clear stakeholder communication.
- Good knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA / EN 301 549).
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS, enough to speak the developers' language and design within technical constraints.
- Hands-on use of AI tools in your design process, self-built automations such as Figma plugins, design ops experience or experience with e-commerce and self-service platforms is a plus.
- Fluent in Dutch or French, with professional English.
Practical information
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: until the end of June 2027, with a strong chance of extension
- Regime: full-time
- Location: Brussels region, hybrid (2 days per week on site)
- Status: payroll preferred, freelance possible
