Digital Marketing Expert – SEO/GEO Content & Tech
Location: Hybrid (50% on-site / 50% remote)

About the Role:
Integrated within the Digital Marketing Chapter of BNP Paribas Fortis, the Digital Marketing Strategies team ensures the effectiveness of digital journeys, boosts online visibility, develops brand awareness, generates leads/sales, and drives business growth. We achieve this through creating and maintaining relevant content and architecture across internal and external platforms, collaborating closely with IT Tribes in agile environments to future-proof our digital ecosystem.
As a Digital Marketing Expert – SEO/GEO, you will play a key role in shaping our online presence and driving business growth through search engine optimization and share-of-voice strategy. You will develop and implement SEO/GEO strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring our digital assets remain competitive and optimized for search engines and LLMs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement comprehensive SEO/GEO strategies across on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
- Manage SEO/GEO campaigns, including keyword/prompt research, content optimization, and link-building initiatives.
- Translate complex SEO/GEO technical issues into actionable user stories for IT teams.
- Develop and deploy content strategies across squads, maintaining a centralized content calendar.
- Monitor SEO/GEO performance and provide insights using tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console.
- Train internal teams on SEO/GEO best practices and share-of-voice strategy.
- Collaborate with marketing, content, and development teams to integrate SEO/GEO throughout the digital ecosystem.
- Ensure compliance with SEO/GEO best practices and relevant regulations.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Languages:
- Dutch: Fluent in Dutch or French
- French: Fluent in French or Dutch
- English: Fluent
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of SEO/GEO principles, algorithms, and ranking factors
- Proficiency with SEO/GEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, Google Search Console)
- Experience in digital marketing and web analytics
- Strong expertise in MS Office
- Experience with Agile project management methodologies
- Knowledge of Adobe Analytics, Content Square, and Figma
Business Experience:
- Familiarity with banking operations or financial products
- Expertise in Agile methodologies
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Proven experience managing stakeholders, especially marketing and IT teams
- Ability to thrive in complex, fast-paced digital marketing environments
