We are looking for a mid-level UX Designer to contribute to the development of impactful digital solutions within a complex, mission-driven environment. In this role, you will help shape intuitive, efficient, and scalable user experiences that support data-driven decision-making and operational excellence. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including analysts, developers, and end users, to deliver high-quality digital products.

Responsibilities

• Translate user needs and business requirements into clear UX concepts, user flows, and interaction models
• Design wireframes, prototypes, and responsive interfaces for internal platforms and tools
• Conduct user research activities such as interviews and usability testing to validate design decisions
• Iterate designs based on feedback, data insights, and testing outcomes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across product, data, and engineering
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing systems and user journeys
• Ensure consistency, usability, and accessibility across all digital touchpoints
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions when needed

Experience & Competencies

• Minimum 3 years of experience in UX design
• Proven expertise in responsive design and user-centered design principles
• Hands-on experience with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, InVision, or Adobe XD
• Experience with user research methods, including user interviews (2+ years) and usability testing (3+ years)
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Solid understanding of content design and structuring content-driven interfaces
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in collaborative environments
• Strong proficiency in Dutch
• Nice to haves
• Basic front-end knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus
• Experience with design systems or tools like Abstract is an advantage
• Knowledge of data-driven design approaches and analytics-informed decision-making
• Understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and inclusive design principles
