Product Owner



Intro


We are looking for an experienced Agile Product Owner to join our consultancy team and support a client within their Human Resources cluster. In this role, you will represent stakeholders and end-users, prioritise business needs, and guide the development team in delivering high-quality HR tools and solutions. You will collaborate closely with process engineers, business analysts, developers, and Scrum Masters, ensuring alignment and impact across HR systems such as time & absence management, employee data, and payroll.


Responsibilities


  • Build the product vision and roadmap, and translate it into clear priorities for the development team.
  • Define functional specifications, manage iteration planning, and maintain the Product Backlog.
  • Ensure alignment with stakeholders and consistency in product delivery.
  • Act as the decision-maker for functionalities and adjust the Sprint Backlog when needed.
  • Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies (retrospectives, demos, test labs, etc.).
  • Safeguard product quality, consistency, and stakeholder satisfaction.


Experience & Competences


  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Product Owner or similar role.
  • Strong expertise in Agile methodologies and project management.
  • Proven ability to define priorities, manage roadmaps, and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Hands-on, structured, quality-oriented, and goal-driven.
  • Leadership skills and openness to change.
  • Language: fluent in Dutch, French, and English.
  • Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree.
  • Plus: knowledge of HR processes (payroll, benefits, etc.) or SAP HR systems.
