About the assignment

EOLIS is looking for a Senior UX Researcher to join a large organisation in the energy sector in the Brussels region. You join a product team that builds digital services for external customers, developers and internal users. Your mission is to bring the user perspective into a customer portal, a developer and data platform and an internal back-office platform, from discovery and research to interaction design and validation. You work closely with business and IT stakeholders, a UI designer and a wider UX community.

Your responsibilities

• Plan and lead user research with methods such as interviews, observations, user tests and surveys, and document the outcomes in a shared research repository.
• Prepare and facilitate framing, ideation and co-design workshops with business, IT and end users.
• Analyse user behaviour and platform performance with web analytics and heatmap tools.
• Translate research and data into personas, experience maps and user journeys, and recommend improvements to existing journeys.
• Define interaction models and measure their success against clear criteria.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, process flows and site maps that make ideas tangible.
• Present concepts and design solutions to stakeholders and work with the UI designer to stay consistent with the design system.
• Contribute to the wider UX community through feedback and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Your profile

• At least 7 years of experience in UX research and design thinking within agile projects, combining qualitative and quantitative methods.
• At least 3 years of experience in interaction design and information architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Figma for wireframes, prototypes and user flows, and with tools such as Miro, PowerPoint, Matomo and heatmaps.
• A formal qualification in UX, such as a master's degree or a certification.
• Proven experience facilitating workshops and co-design sessions with large groups of stakeholders.
• Pragmatic, autonomous and resilient, with strong analytical and synthesis skills and a genuine interest in technology.
• Experience with design systems in Figma is a plus; experience with Condens is a strong plus.
• Good command of English and Dutch and/or French; German is a plus.
