Conversational UX Designer
A leading financial services organization is looking for a Senior Conversational UX Designer to design and optimize digital conversations for its AI-driven digital assistant. In this role, you will shape natural, intuitive, and helpful conversational experiences used by millions of customers. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams including UX designers, analysts, developers, and AI specialists to design conversation flows that balance user needs, technical capabilities, and business objectives. The ideal candidate combines strong UX thinking, excellent language skills, and experience with conversational interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Design, write, and optimize conversational flows for the digital assistant (dialogues, prompts, intents, training phrases, etc.).
- Translate complex processes into clear and intuitive conversational experiences.
- Ensure a natural, user-friendly interaction across digital touchpoints.
- Conduct user research, analyze conversation data, and continuously improve experiences based on insights.
- Set up and evaluate A/B tests to optimize conversational flows.
- Safeguard and further refine the tone of voice used in the digital assistant.
- Collaborate closely with UX designers, analysts, developers, and business stakeholders.
- Work with AI teams to improve conversational models and interaction quality.
- Monitor UX trends and innovations in conversational interfaces and digital experiences.
- Ensure consistency across digital channels and document design decisions and patterns.
Experience & Competences
Must-Haves
- Minimum 5 years of experience in UX design, UX writing, conversational design, or a similar role.
- Experience designing user-centered digital experiences.
- Strong experience translating complex processes into clear interaction flows.
- Experience with user testing, A/B testing, and data-driven UX improvements.
- Excellent writing and communication skills in Dutch.
- Strong knowledge of English.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of AI-driven products, NLP/NLU, or chatbot design principles.
- Experience with prototyping or collaboration tools such as Figma or Miro.
- Experience working in cross-functional agile teams.
