Heating is the main source of emissions for residential customers, which is why we aim to help our clients transition away from fossil fuels and adopt heat pumps. The Role

Our customer seeks a dynamic Business Developer to drive our heat pump business in the residential new construction sector. Reporting to the Heat Pump Activity Manager, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities, building strategic partnerships with real estate developers, and ensuring successful project delivery from initial contact to signed contracts.

Key Responsibilities


Business Development & Prospecting

  • Identify and prospect small to medium-sized real estate developers interested in testing a new partner for heat pump installations
  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of potential clients in the new construction sector
  • Convince prospects to send us projects for competitive bidding


Offer Management & Coordination

  • Coordinate the preparation of competitive offers with internal technical and commercial teams
  • Ensure proposals meet client requirements while maintaining profitability targets
  • Lead the team in developing compelling and competitive bids


Project Follow-up

  • Monitor signed projects through execution phase
  • Maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
  • Identify opportunities for contract expansion and additional services

Your Profile


Experience & Skills

  • Proven track record in business development or sales, ideally in construction, HVAC, or energy sectors
  • Strong relationship-building and commercial negotiation skills
  • Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Results-oriented with strong closing capabilities
  • Fluency in Dutch and English required; working knowledge of French


Network & Knowledge

  • Existing connections in the construction and real estate development industry (strong asset)
  • Understanding of the residential new construction market dynamics
  • Knowledge of heat pump technology and sustainable building solutions (advantageous)

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work autonomously
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capabilities
