Interim Brand Manager Belgium
FMCG | Brussels | 2 days per week | 3 to 6 months
The opportunity
A fast-growing, purpose-led food and snacking brand is building its presence in Belgium and is looking for its first local Brand Manager. You will be the local marketing engine behind the brand's growth: you conceptualise, build and run campaigns that make an impact on shoppers. You work closely with the marketing team in the UK and the commercial lead in Belgium, and you are the main point of contact for everything that makes the brand visible, relevant and loved in Belgium.
What you'll be doing
- Shopper marketing: brief creative for in-store point of sale and collateral, and spot low-cost ad hoc opportunities
- Set up and run a trade show with a major Belgian retail partner in March
- Plan and execute brand activations such as sampling at running events and pop-ups, including hands-on set-up
- Evaluate each activation: wrap-ups, results and learnings
- Set up and coordinate online and offline marketing campaigns
- Build and manage collaborations with influencers and content creators
- Write copy and post on LinkedIn
- Coordinate local press and PR, including external agencies
- Work with the commercial team on retail media and promotions
- Report monthly on OGSM
- Contribute to brand tracking and request consumer insights where needed
- Provide input on product launches and ensure a strong local ROS
- Flexibility for weekend and evening work when event set-ups require it
What we're looking for
- Around 3 years of marketing experience, ideally in consumer goods, on the manufacturer or agency side
- A hands-on attitude: you're happy to set up events yourself and get stuck in
- Experience with influencer marketing, PR and brand activations
- You can set up and run a campaign from A to Z
- A creative mind with strategic insight, comfortable working autonomously in a scale-up
- A good grasp of the Belgian running community is a strong plus, to connect with running clubs in Brussels, Ghent, Antwerp, Liège and Namur
- Experience building a brand in a new market is a bonus
- Fluent in Dutch and English, with at least B2 French
- A love for nut butter (and squirrels)
We know candidates often only apply when they meet every requirement. If you meet many, but not all, of these points, we still want to hear from you.
