For one of our clients, we are looking for a Solution Engineer - Scrum Master with a strong Java cloud engineering background to join a large-scale transformation program.

This is not a pure Scrum Master or Agile Coach role.

The position requires a hands-on technical profile combining solution design, development understanding, and Agile delivery leadership.

You will join an expert-level team working on complex, cloud-native applications within a structured and demanding environment.

What are your responsibilities?

Solution Engineering & Technical Leadership

• Design, develop, and manage robust IT solutions across the full stack.
• Guide the team in building secure, scalable cloud-native applications.
• Contribute to architecture decisions involving:
• APIs
• Microservices
• Event-driven systems
• Cloud environments

Agile Delivery & Coordination

• Act as Scrum / Agile Delivery Master within the team.
• Contribute to all Agile ceremonies:
• Sprint planning
• Refinement
• Retrospectives
• Daily stand-ups
• Define and maintain release planning and delivery roadmaps.
• Manage dependencies, risks, and delivery timelines.

Hands-on Development & Architecture

• Work on:
• API design and development
• Microservices integration
• Event-driven architectures
• Support the implementation and deployment of applications.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing

• Promote best practices in:
• Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS)
• Cloud-native development
• Continuously improve team performance and delivery quality.
• Share knowledge on tools, frameworks, and innovations.

Who are we looking for?

10+ years of experience in:

• Software engineering (Java)
• Solution design (API, microservices, cloud)

5+ years of experience as Scrum / Agile Delivery Master (hands-on, not coaching only).

Strong experience in:

• Java SE / Java SE10+
• API design and microservices
• Event-driven architecture (event sourcing, event handling)
• Cloud-native environments

Experience with:

• Azure DevOps
• Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS)
• Experience in greenfield projects is a strong plus.

Education

• Degree in Computer Science (mandatory).

Languages

• English – fluent (mandatory)
• Dutch – fluent
• French – fluent
