Our client, a leading publisher of language learning products, is seeking a dedicated and driven Field Sales Specialist to join their team. This person would play a key role in the K12 Central Region Sales Team by managing, supporting and growing customer accounts in Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Arkansas. This role reports to the Regional Manager for the Central Region. 


Residence within one of the Central Region territory states is required (Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Oklahoma or Arkansas), as well as a willingness to travel throughout the territory without restriction. Candidates must meet this requirement in order to be considered. Relocation is not available for this position. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver impactful, engaging and customized digital and in-person presentations showing how our clients solutions help teachers and educators overcome challenges in order to achieve learning outcomes
  • Develop a strong understanding of a customer’s needs and use a consultative selling approach to achieve sales goals
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key K-12 education professionals and stakeholders
  • Consistently utilize our CRM (Salesforce) and other tools for effective sales analysis, planning and account management
  • Partner effectively with internal teams in an effort to provide customers with an excellent experience 
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of world language, EL and Dual Language products and programs
  • Attend industry events and conduct presentations in order to position our client within the market and generate business opportunities
  • Keep in tune with relevant and territory specific market trends

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree minimum
  • 2+ years of experience as a K-12 Teacher/Educator or School/District Administrator
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, sales support, account management, or business development
  • Strong technology orientation and experience presenting and/or doing demonstrations to a variety of audiences in-person and virtually
  • Experience using a CRM to manage sales and accounts
  • A willingness to travel overnight as needed within the territory to events, conferences and customer sites (50%+)
  • Knowledge of the K-12 State Adoption process, players and resources available within the territory states
  • Experience with publishing, language learning or similar modern edtech products
  • Advanced level knowledge or familiarity with K12 products and our client's supersite  
  • Working knowledge of the Spanish language
  • Excellent relationship building, prospecting, territory building, interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
  • Bachelor or Advanced degree
