Our client is looking for a K-8 Educational Sales Consultant to manage and grow its Northern California and Hawaii territory. Based within the territory, this individual will build relationships with schools and districts, connecting educators with hands-on learning resources and supplemental instructional materials that address their instructional needs.

You will have the autonomy to bring your experience, creativity, and consultative approach to developing the territory and building trusted customer partnerships. You will join a collaborative sales team committed to supporting educators and making learning engaging and accessible for students.

Through conversations and solution presentations, you will help teachers and administrators identify solutions that fill instructional gaps across math, literacy, STEM, and social-emotional learning. Your work will support lasting school and district partnerships through responsive service and an understanding of each customer’s goals.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Apply consultative, solution-selling skills to prospect for new business, acquire customers, and grow revenue across the assigned territory, achieving or exceeding the annual sales quota.
  • Develop a comprehensive territory plan within six weeks, outlining key customers, quarterly objectives, and detailed action plans for key accounts. Update business plans semiannually for January–June and July–December.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive pipeline of leads and opportunities across public and private school districts, focusing on math, literacy, and STEM solutions.
  • Build and maintain trusted partnerships with key accounts, expanding relationships with decision-makers and identifying opportunities.
  • Conduct in-depth discovery to understand customers’ instructional priorities, curriculum needs, funding sources, and purchasing timelines.
  • Conduct discovery meetings with new decision-makers in identified growth areas and apply creative sales strategies to expand territory opportunities.
  • Grow existing customer relationships by connecting hands-on classroom resources with supplemental programs that address broader instructional goals.
  • Independently manage the sales cycle, from proposals to prospecting and discovery through presentations, follow-up, and closing.
  • Maintain consistent customer communication, conduct face-to-face or virtual sales presentations, and provide follow-up and post-sale product training as needed.
  • Use SalesHub to maintain accurate contacts, document sales activity, manage leads and opportunities, and support reliable pipeline forecasting.
  • Analyze customer data to refine territory strategies.
  • Collaborate with other Educational Sales Consultants, Per Diem Consultants, Marketing, and Product Development colleagues as needed to support customer needs and advance sales opportunities.
  • Plan and execute networking and sales awareness events that strengthen brand presence, build customer and partner relationships, and generate qualified leads.
  • Act as the company liaison; build the company brand in the territory and independently work in the field to establish and build high quality and lasting relationships with customer base and partners.
  • Apply prior teaching or educational sales experience, customer insights, and feedback to develop new approaches that strengthen customer engagement and sales effectiveness.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, customer meetings, and sales presentations as needed. Expected travel for this role can be up to 70% (with minimal overnight travel).
  • Be a collaborative teammate to all members in the company.

Background:

  • College Degree required
  • Preferred experience in K-8 sales with existing relationships within school and districts across the Northern CA territory.
  • Elementary classroom teaching or administrative experience a plus.
  • An individual with a positive mental “can do” attitude and style.
  • A self-starter with a “sales hunter” mindset.
  • A collaborative team player.

Benefits:

  • 7 Company Holidays (2026) in addition to vacation, sick leave and personal time.
  • Exciting Employee Perks including Summer Hours, Culture Events, Volunteer Time, Flexible Schedule, Paternity/Maternity Leave and more.
  • Comprehensive insurance and retirement plans: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k+ company match, Life and Disability.
