NextStep Recruiting has partnered with an established industrial distribution organization to identify a Government Contracts & National Accounts Specialist. This is a full-time opportunity supporting government contract administration, national account management, and sales operations. The ideal candidate has experience in government procurement, contract administration, national accounts, or outside sales and is comfortable managing contract requirements, supporting customer relationships, and coordinating with sales teams.

Required:

• 3–5 years of experience in government contract administration, national account management, procurement, or outside sales
• Experience supporting outside sales teams, managing customer accounts, or coordinating contract-related activities
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and reporting
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work with procurement teams, customers, and internal stakeholders
• Excellent organization and ability to independently manage multiple contracts, deadlines, and priorities

Preferred:

• Experience with government contracts, GSA schedules, cooperative purchasing programs, or public-sector procurement
• Experience preparing RFPs, bid submissions, contract renewals, and compliance documentation
• Background supporting national accounts or multi-location customer programs
• Experience with contract pricing audits, sales reporting, rebates, and administrative fees
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
