NextStep Recruiting has partnered with a growing telecommunications and infrastructure services company in Doral, FL, that is adding a Staff Accountant to its expanding accounting team. This newly created role will provide hands-on support across multiple areas of general accounting, reconciliations, and reporting while working closely with senior leadership and operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly loan reconciliations, ensuring accurate allocation of principal and interest
- Handle quarterly reclassifications of long-term and short-term loan balances
- Prepare and record monthly journal entries and expense accruals with corresponding reconciliations and reversals
- Manage prepaid expense schedules, including monthly entries and reconciliations
- Oversee Concur expense report processing:
- Maintain employee profiles and provide user support
- Review and finalize monthly expense reports
- Approve and close out completed reports
- Prepare monthly Sub Sales journal entries, reconciliations, and reports for leadership review
- Maintain 1099 vendor records and assist with annual 1099 preparation and filing
- Support property tax reporting, including tangible property tax returns, monthly accruals, and reconciliation
- Prepare purchase requisitions for payment approval and processing
- Assist with audit requests and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1–2 years of accounting experience (corporate or public accounting environment preferred)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (SUMIFS, pivot tables, lookups)
- Experience using Concur for expense reporting and corporate credit cards
- Knowledge of 1099 reporting and property tax return preparation
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
