NextStep Recruiting is partnering with a law firm in Houston, TX to find an experienced Real Estate Associate. This role will involve representing lenders, tenants, and property owners in a wide range of commercial real estate transactions.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial lease agreements on behalf of landlords and tenants.
• Handle purchase and sale agreements, including due diligence, closing coordination, and post-closing matters.
• Conduct and analyze title and survey review, resolving related issues in coordination with clients and counterparties.
• Advise clients on a broad range of real estate transactions while managing matters independently and collaborating with cross-functional legal teams.

Qualifications

• 6 years of substantive real estate experience at a law firm.
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Strong background in commercial and/or residential leasing, with additional experience in purchase and sale agreements and title review.
• Excellent academic credentials and superior written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
