Accounts Payable Manager (Contract)
NextStep Recruiting has partnered with a leading communications technology company in Eastern Dallas County to find an experienced Accounts Payable Manager (Contract). An ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, deep accounts payable expertise, and a proactive approach to process improvement. This role will oversee AP operations for the US and Canada, including mentoring a team of 10+, managing system transitions, and supporting key audits and compliance activities.
Required:
• 7+ years of Accounts Payable experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
• Proven experience managing teams of 10+ employees, including offshore staff
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with transitioning AP systems and hands-on approach to technology
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for vendor relations and team leadership
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience with AP Express or similar automated AP workflow systems
• Background in improving departmental workflows and implementing process efficiencies
• Experience supporting internal/external audits and enforcing internal controls
