Trueline's client, a leading intellectual property law firm, is seeking an Intellectual Property Paralegal to join their team in a dynamic legal environment. This role is crucial for ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and compliance in patent prosecution and related intellectual property matters.


What You'll Do as the Intellectual Property Paralegal:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of US and PCT application submissions, publications, and issued patents
  • Examine Notices of Allowance, electronic file wrappers, and allowed claims to verify readiness for issuance
  • Scrutinize formality documents, assignments, and cover sheets for precision
  • Cross-check USPTO correspondence against internal systems for data accuracy and deadline tracking
  • Collaborate with management to enhance quality control procedures and support team training initiatives
  • Contribute to the development of efficient workflows and value-added processes within the department


You'll Succeed as the Intellectual Property Paralegal if you Have:

  • A bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience in domestic and foreign patent prosecution
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor
  • Proficiency in docketing software, particularly CPi, with IPDAS knowledge being advantageous
  • A thorough understanding of patent terminology, filing procedures, and current USPTO rules
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
