Accounts Receivable Manager

Trueline's client, a leading professional services company is seeking an Accounts Receivable Manager to join their team in Houston. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing the accounts receivable function for a rapidly growing organization.


What You'll Do as the Accounts Receivable Manager:


• Supervise a team of AR coordinators to ensure timely billing cycles, billing completeness, customer issue resolution, and data accuracy

• Manage the full accounts receivable and revenue recognition processes, including invoicing, recording, and submission

• Oversee cash receipt posting, clearing, account reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution

• Maintain comprehensive customer records including payment terms, sales reps, PO requirements, etc.

• Nurture relationships and communication with customer AP teams

• Manage customer prepayment records and reconciliations

• Lead the collections process, monitoring aging, and coordinating customer communications

• Resolve disputed billings by coordinating cross-functional efforts for corrections and reissuance

• Produce revenue and sales reports by rep, customer, location, and support ad hoc reporting needs

• Coordinate external audit requests and documentation

• Ensure team task completion and data integrity through oversight and verification

• Assess customer credit risk, prepayment needs, and contractual compliance

• Assist with month/quarter/year-end close activities and revenue accruals

• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities

• Manage intercompany reconciliations and resolve differences


You'll Succeed as the Accounts Receivable Manager if you Have:


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while prioritizing tasks

• Proven leadership experience training, developing, and driving team performance

• Hands-on accounts receivable process and system expertise

• Sound judgement and decision-making capabilities

• Team performance management skills, including change leadership

• Proficiency with accounting ERPs like NetSuite and SageIntacct

• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Collaborative nature and ability to build cross-functional relationships

• Strong process optimization abilities

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Understanding of contracts, payment terms, banking transactions, and commercial processes

• Experience with AP portals like Ariba, Coupa, and Amazon (a plus)

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience, including 2+ years of supervisory experience

• Prior full-cycle accounts receivable experience is required
