Trueline's client, a leading national insurance and litigation law firm based in the United States, is seeking an Insurance Defense Associate to join their team in Chicago. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a prestigious firm that represents global insurers and Fortune 500 companies.


What You'll Do as the Insurance Defense Associate:

  • Handle a diverse caseload involving general liability, personal injury, trucking, auto, commercial properties, premises liability, negligence, and construction matters
  • Develop strategic case approaches and keep partners informed
  • Take a proactive, go-getter approach to managing cases from start to finish
  • Gain valuable first-chair trial experience in various jurisdictions
  • Collaborate with partners and take on significant responsibilities


You'll Succeed as the Insurance Defense Associate if you Have:

  • 3-6 years of insurance defense experience
  • Proven track record in general liability, personal injury, premises liability, negligence, and auto cases
  • Construction litigation experience (a plus)
  • Trial experience, including second-chair roles
  • Licensed in Illinois, with experience outside of Cook County
  • Excellent strategic thinking and practical approach
  • Self-motivated attitude to run with cases independently
