Trueline's client, a leading law firm with nearly 150 years of experience serving as a strategic business advisor and legal counsel to premier public and private companies, is seeking an Employment Litigation Attorney to join their team in Seattle, Portland, or fully remote. What You'll Do as the Employment Litigation Attorney:

- Defend employers in wage and hour class actions, actions filed under the California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA), and single-plaintiff matters

- Assist in all aspects of litigation, including evaluating claims, handling mediation, taking depositions, engaging in motion practice, and preparing for arbitration and trial

- Handle administrative charge work, including preparing position statements

- Counsel HR professionals and business executives on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (depending on experience)

- Provide strategic thinking in avoiding and resolving employment disputes (depending on experience)


You'll Succeed as the Employment Litigation Attorney if you Have:

- Active California State Bar membership

- 5+ years of experience handling employment litigation in California, including wage and hour class, collective, or PAGA actions

- Substantial experience handling employment litigation in California (discrimination, harassment, retaliation, leave interference claims)

- Experience handling charges before the EEOC and similar state/local agencies

- Experience drafting employment policies (preferred)

- Ability to work collaboratively and independently

- Excellent research, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
