Job Title: Employment Attorney

Job Description: Our client, an AM Law 200 firm, is actively seeking an experienced Employment Attorney to join our growing labor and employment practice in either the Minneapolis, KC, or California office. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal support and advice to our business clients on a wide range of employment and labor relations issues, and will be licensed in at least one of the three states (MN, MO, CA, PA). We are searching for Associate, Counsel, and Partner level candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal counsel and advice on employment and labor relations matters.
  • Conduct legal research, prepare briefs, pleadings, and policy documents.
  • Investigate misconduct complaints and prepare charge responses.
  • Represent clients in litigation, traditional labor law areas, and regulatory/administrative hearings.
  • Engage in collective bargaining, union organizing, grievance arbitrations, and more.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of employment law experience, including both advisory and litigation roles.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Exceptional analytical and writing abilities.
  • Excellent client service skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience representing clients in traditional labor law matters such as collective bargaining, union organizing, and grievance arbitration
  • AM Law 200 or complex boutique firm experience preferred (not required)
  • 1st chair labor negotiations and/or school law experience huge plus
