About the role
We are seeking an experienced Regional Account Manager to lead the growth of our brands, including our protein bars and our performance energy drinks, within key regional grocery accounts.
This role focuses on establishing strategic partnerships with grocery channel customers, driving product distribution, and maintaining strong relationships with distributor partners. The ideal candidate will have (+3) experience in the grocery channel with grocery distributors (UNFI, KEHE,etc). Similar experience in CPG sales will be considered. This role requires a self-starter who takes initiative and owns their territory.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Develop and execute tailored account strategies for assigned regional grocery customers.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with grocery chain headquarters and distributor contacts.
- Expand product placement by securing new accounts and increasing SKU distribution within existing customers.
- Plan, negotiate, and implement promotional activities to optimize sales and achieve growth objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor for retailers and distributors, ensuring our brands are top-of-mind for category growth.
Skills and Qualifications Desired:
Experience:
- 3 years CPG sales experience working in the grocery channel.
- Current relationships and/or working knowledge of managing distributors.
- Ability to travel (25-35%) to support customer visits, sales activations, and promotions.
Skills:
- Ability to create and execute a strategy to acquire new regional grocery accounts.
- Ability to grow current customers through increasing SKU count, selling in new items, and creating a promotional plan.
- Communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey category trends and strategies clearly.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple customer priorities with a focus on follow up and follow through.
- Experience in forecasting and sales planning.
PREFERRED LOCATION:
Based in the Central or Eastern US, ideally in or near a major FMCG hub such as Chicago or Atlanta.
