Role Summary
The Chief Financial Officer will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and a strategic advisor to the CEO, Board, and investors. The ideal candidate brings deep financial expertise, strong public company readiness, and proven success guiding organizations through IPO or SPAC transactions. You’ll lead financial strategy, compliance, investor relations, and capital markets activity—while building scalable systems and high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
· IPO / SPAC Leadership
· Lead all financial aspects of IPO/SPAC readiness and execution, including audits, due diligence, S-1/S-4 filings, and financial disclosures.
· Manage relationships with investment banks, legal counsel, auditors, and regulators (SEC, NASDAQ/NYSE).
· Strategic & Financial Planning
· Drive long-term financial strategy in collaboration with the CEO and Board.
· Oversee financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting to support company growth and capital allocation decisions.
· Financial Reporting & Controls
· Ensure accurate GAAP-compliant financial reporting and establish SOX-ready internal controls.
· Lead accounting, FP&A, treasury, and tax functions.
· Investor Relations & Capital Markets
· Serve as the primary financial spokesperson to investors, analysts, and the Board.
· Prepare investor materials, lead earnings communications, and participate in roadshows.
· Governance & Risk Management
· Develop a strong compliance and audit framework.
· Guide the company’s financial risk strategy and regulatory alignment.
· Leadership & Team Building
· Build and mentor a world-class finance team.
· Foster cross-functional collaboration to support operational excellence and accountability.
Ideal Candidate Profile
· 15+ years of progressive finance experience across CPG, product-driven, or consumer-facing businesses.
· Experience as a CFO or senior finance executive in a company that has gone public, preferably via SPAC.
· Strong knowledge of public company requirements, including SEC compliance, SOX, investor relations, and capital markets strategy.
· Proven generalist across FP&A, accounting, compliance, audit, treasury, and capital structure management.
· Demonstrated success as a strategic business partner to the CEO and executive team.
· Board-facing presence and experience managing external advisors, auditors, and underwriters.
· Understanding of NASDAQ/NYSE listing standards and public market operations.
· High EQ, strong leadership presence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Location & Travel
Role can be remote during the first 12 months, with required travel to South Florida for 5–7 days per month.
Relocation assistance may be considered post-IPO.
