Position Overview


The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality, compassionate medical care to companion animals while fostering strong relationships with clients and the broader care team. Key Responsibilities


**Clinical Care**


·      Perform wellness exams, sick visits, diagnostics, dentistry, and soft-tissue surgery.

·      Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and AI-enabled technology (e.g., digital radiology, AI scribes, predictive lab analytics) to support patient care.

·      Practice evidence-based medicine aligned with Fear-Free principles and hospital protocols.

·      Ensure thorough and accurate medical records using cloud-based practice management software with AI charting technology.


**Client Experience**


·      Build trust and long-term relationships through clear communication, empathy, and education.

·      Present diagnostics and treatment options in a way that empowers client decision-making.

·      Support the hospital’s membership and wellness plan offerings by explaining value and preventive care benefits.


**Team Collaboration**


·      Partner with credentialed technicians and assistants to maximize efficiency and leverage team skills.

·      Mentor and support veterinary technicians, assistants, and new graduates as appropriate.

·      Participate in hospital-wide meetings, training, and process improvement initiatives.


**Leadership & Culture**


·      Model the hospital’s values of respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

·      Contribute ideas to enhance workflows, technology use, and client/patient experience.

·      Uphold all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards of veterinary practice.


Qualifications


·      Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited institution.

·      Active (or eligibility for) veterinary license in the state of New Jersey.

·      Commitment to Fear-Free principles and continuous learning.

·      Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

·      Surgical proficiency in routine procedures; interest in dentistry and advanced medicine preferred.
