Supplier Quality Engineer

We're looking for a seasoned Supplier Quality Engineer to drive continuous improvement and ensure cost-effective processes in our supply chain. This role will focus on supplier quality management, problem-solving, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct supplier quality system assessments and support supplier selection
• Lead supplier APQP and PPAP processes, including reviews and approvals
• Utilize AIAG methods (PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA) and Lean-Six-Sigma methodologies to drive quality and efficiency
• Investigate and resolve non-conformances with suppliers, issuing corrective actions and tracking progress
• Manage supplier performance metrics and trends to drive supply base improvement
• Support new product development and model changes with quality expertise

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical field
• 7+ years of experience in Automotive Supplier Quality
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and TS 16949
• Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, and Control Plan
• Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies (8D, 3x5 whys, Lean-Six-Sigma)
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Experience with SAP, Team Center, Microsoft Office, and Sharepoint

ASQ Certification and Lean Six-Sigma Certification are preferred. This role demands a detail-oriented and analytical professional who can drive quality and efficiency in our supply chain.

Salary is $80-$100K DOE
