SAP Data Consultant / Data Coordinator
Remote | Contract with Potential for Permanent Hire
Position Overview
Our client, a global industry leader, is seeking a detail-oriented SAP Data Consultant to support its e-commerce operations and help ensure accurate, timely digital transactions.
The initial focus will be reviewing and resolving outbound document errors in SAP ECC ahead of an SAP S/4HANA transition targeted for April 2027. You’ll work through an existing backlog of invoices, shipping notices, and order confirmations while keeping up with new issues generated daily.
As the backlog decreases, responsibilities may expand into customer onboarding, data maintenance, and troubleshooting across connected business systems. Training and documented procedures will be provided.
What You’ll Do
- Review failed outbound documents in SAP, including invoices, advance shipping notices (ASNs), and order confirmations.
- Follow documented procedures to determine which documents can be removed and which need to be corrected and reprocessed.
- Re-trigger required documents and verify successful processing.
- Help clear an existing backlog of approximately 10,000 documents and monitor new errors to keep the workflow current through go-live.
- Investigate data discrepancies and work with internal teams to resolve issues affecting digital transactions.
- Maintain accuracy and productivity while completing detailed, repetitive processing tasks.
- As needed, support customer and distributor onboarding, customer information updates, and master data cleanup.
- Learn related e-commerce workflows involving systems such as DASH, EDI, Salesforce, and customer portals.
Who You’ll Work With
- E-commerce, Customer Service, Sales, Supply Chain, IT, and Master Data teams.
- External distributors and partners as responsibilities expand into onboarding and connection troubleshooting.
What Helps You Succeed
- SAP end-user experience strongly preferred, especially in sales order processing, supply chain, or order-to-cash workflows.
- Familiarity with SAP SD or MM, electronic document processing, or EDI is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures consistently.
- Problem-solving skills and a willingness to investigate issues and ask questions.
- Ability to stay focused and organized while processing a high volume of transactions.
- Clear communication skills and a calm, professional approach when responding to urgent requests.
- A reliable, team-oriented attitude and the ability to work independently after training.
- Excel skills and experience maintaining customer or business data are helpful.
Assignment Details
- Fully remote; Eastern Time availability preferred.
- Contract expected to continue through the April 2027 go-live.
- Potential for permanent hire into an E-Commerce Coordinator position. One of three contractors may be selected based on performance, ability to learn the processes, and team fit.
