Sourcing Category Manager Opportunity

We're seeking a skilled Sourcing Category Manager to drive procurement excellence for a leading supplier to various industries, including construction, automotive, and industrial sectors. This role focuses on metal extrusions, hardware, MRO, and raw materials, making strategic decisions on sourcing and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute category strategies to optimize cost, quality, delivery, and innovation
• Build and manage strategic vendor relationships, ensuring optimal cost and timely delivery
• Identify market trends, anticipate risks, and communicate with internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support key initiatives and drive continuous improvement
• Analyze spending, market dynamics, and price movements to inform procurement decisions
• Lead quality improvement programs and supplier development initiatives
• Manage complex supply chain projects and vendor relationships

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
• 4+ years of purchasing experience, with 2+ years in a manufacturing environment and data analytics experience
• Category management and procurement execution experience
• SAP experience and certifications like CPIM/ISM/CIPS are preferred
