Electrical Engineering Manager

We're seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a small team of 3 engineers while contributing to technical projects as an individual contributor. This role requires a systems-minded approach and expertise in PCBA design and firmware development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor a team of 3 engineers while contributing to technical projects
• Design and develop PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) and firmware for new product development and sustaining engineering projects
• Provide technical direction and guidance on electrical engineering projects, including system-level design and integration
• Oversee engineering documentation, material selection, and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development and innovation
• Ensure timely and budget-friendly completion of electromechanical projects
• Develop and implement system-level solutions, considering hardware, software, and mechanical interactions

Requirements:

• 15+ years of experience in electrical engineering product development, with a focus on PCBA design and firmware development
• Undergraduate degree in Engineering (MS preferred)
• Experience launching multiple products from concept to market (medical devices a plus)
• Strong systems thinking and integration skills, with ability to consider hardware, software, and mechanical interactions
• Proficiency in PCBA design tools (e.g. Altium) and firmware development (e.g. C, C++, Visual Studio)
• Strong leadership and project management skills, with ability to manage team members and projects

This role demands a seasoned electrical engineer with a strong technical foundation, systems thinking, and leadership skills, who can manage a team and drive technical innovation while contributing to hands-on project work.

Compensation is $100k-$130k DOE
