We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Field Service Engineer for our Client’s Team to provide technical support to Regional Sales Managers in selling aftermarket products and repair services. This role requires expertise in mechanical and automation systems, with a focus on troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently and make sound judgments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers on the installation, start-up, and maintenance of capital equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
  • Conduct technical training at customer sites and share advanced engineering knowledge
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer acceptance of purchased products
  • Represent the company in handling customer complaints and resolving problems
  • Evaluate customer maintenance practices and procedures, providing recommendations for improvement
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve equipment performance and customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in field service, with a focus on mechanical and automation systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Experience with HMI configuration, motor controls, and VFD troubleshooting and configuration
  • Ability to work independently, with 70% travel required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an associate's degree and equivalent work experience also considered
  • Experience in the pulp and paper or allied fields
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment and systems


This is a remote opportunity with 70% travel based in the Mid West, North East or South East

Must be open to 70% travel

Salary is DOE $110-125k
