About Our Client

Its consumer brands are sold through grocery, mass, club, convenience and foodservice channels, and it runs a national network of manufacturing and distribution facilities.
The Opportunity
This isn’t a help desk job. As the only IT professional at the Verona manufacturing plant, you’ll own all local IT, from the plant floor to the front office. You’ll keep users productive, maintain the site’s servers, network and virtualization environment, and lead infrastructure projects with outside vendors. You’ll have the backing of a corporate infrastructure team while having real ownership of your site.
What You’ll Do
- Provide hands-on end-user support for hardware, software, printers, mobile devices and accounts, both in person and remotely
- Administer and maintain Windows Server and the Hyper-V virtualization environment
- Support and help with VMware/vSphere upgrades
- Manage Office 365 / Microsoft 365, including user accounts, licensing, email and Teams
- Maintain Active Directory, permissions and security groups
- Support site networking, including LAN, switching, VPN and wireless, with Cisco and some Azure exposure
- Coordinate and oversee third-party vendors on projects such as network switch replacements
- Troubleshoot issues affecting plant and office operations and see them through to resolution
- Keep documentation, asset inventory and site procedures up to date
- Communicate clearly with plant leadership, end users and the corporate IT team
What You Bring
- 3–5+ years of hands-on IT support and infrastructure experience (beyond help desk alone)
- Strong experience with Windows Server and Hyper-V
- Office 365 / Microsoft 365 administration experience
- Exposure to Cisco networking and/or Microsoft Azure
- Working knowledge of Active Directory and core networking (LAN, VPN, switching)
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and own outcomes without day-to-day oversight
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience
- Certifications are not required
Nice to Have
- VMware/vSphere experience, including upgrades
- Experience supporting a manufacturing, plant or industrial environment
- Experience coordinating vendor-led infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with SQL Server or Microsoft Dynamics

-

-
Multi-hat: You enjoy breadth and like learning on the job
-
Steady communicator: You keep users, leadership and vendors informed
