Our client, a fast-growing, 7-person online marketplace for buying, selling, and reselling AV equipment, is seeking an operations leader to bring structure, efficiency, and scalability to its backend operations.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll directly partner with the CEO to streamline systems, align teams, and ensure flawless order fulfillment.

Role Overview

Our client is looking for a strategic, hands-on operator who can lead warehouse operations, order fulfillment, and software teams while ensuring all supporting business functions and ensure project completion (finance, accounting, HR) run with consistency and accuracy. This role will be central to connecting systems, eliminating operational bottlenecks, and professionalizing processes across the company.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Process Optimization

●      Diagnose and improve operational processes across warehouse operations, order fulfillment, development, and supporting business functions.

●      Build and implement scalable SOPs, including quality control workflows for outbound shipments.

●      Bring cohesion and structure to a small but fast-moving team, ensuring clarity in priorities, ownership, and timelines.

Systems Integration & Technical Project Management

●      Lead the integration of the ERP system with our Client’s online marketplace platform to ensure accurate, real-time communication between systems.

●      Ensure projects are well scoped and in line with business needs, ensuring requirements are clear, timelines are realistic, and deliverables meet operational needs. Translate business requirements into technical tasks.

●      Manage a technical team without needing to “code,” but with strong technical fluency and problem-solving abilities.

Cross-Functional Coordination & Vendor Oversight

●      Ensure day-to-day accounting, finance, and HR operations run smoothly through effective oversight of outsourced vendors and internal contributors.

●      Act as a central point of contact between warehouse, development, administrative, and executive functions—keeping communication clear and alignment tight.

●      Support executive-level decision-making through research, data gathering, analysis, and structured reporting.

Strategic Execution & Special Projects

●      Lead critical projects directly assigned by the CEO related to scaling operations, expanding marketplace capabilities, and improving customer experience.

●      Proactively surface operational risks and opportunities, ensuring the leadership team is informed, aware, and ready to act.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience & Skills

●      Experience scaling operations in a small, high-growth environment—preferably managing warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution workflows.

●      Strong project management orientation with the ability to drive clarity, structure, and accountability across multiple teams, with both internal and external collaborators.

●      Technical fluency: comfortable project managing developers, understanding system flows, and diagnosing where processes or integrations break.

●      Prior exposure to ERP implementation or optimization is a strong plus

●      Ability to oversee and hold accountable internal and external collaborators HR, finance, and accounting operations to ensure timely close cycles, compliance, and administrative consistency.

Work Environment & Logistics

●      Location: Cincinnati HQ, with recurring presence in both the corporate office(downtown Cincinnati) and the warehouse (Sharonville).

●      Primarily Onsite w/ Remote Flexibility

●      Compensation: $130-150k base salary with additional equity
