Structural Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, review, and complete structural design calculations, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and reports.
  • Perform linear and non-linear structural analyses, bridge inspections, load ratings, and assessment reports.
  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for bridges and box culverts.
  • Ensure quality assurance and quality control, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients, technicians, engineers, sub-consultants, and contractors.
  • Participate in planning, cost development, management, and scheduling for assigned projects.
  • Serve as a project engineer or project manager on various projects based on experience.
  • Involve public presentations, including reports, graphics, and other visual materials.
  • Participate in project interviews as required for a Structural Project Engineer.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a Structural Engineer license in Illinois.
  • Experience designing structural projects in Illinois according to IDOT standards is essential.
  • Must be a Professional Engineer licensed in Illinois or eligible to obtain the license.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
