Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, review, and complete structural design calculations, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and reports.
- Perform linear and non-linear structural analyses, bridge inspections, load ratings, and assessment reports.
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for bridges and box culverts.
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control, and compliance with quality standards.
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, technicians, engineers, sub-consultants, and contractors.
- Participate in planning, cost development, management, and scheduling for assigned projects.
- Serve as a project engineer or project manager on various projects based on experience.
- Involve public presentations, including reports, graphics, and other visual materials.
- Participate in project interviews as required for a Structural Project Engineer.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a Structural Engineer license in Illinois.
- Experience designing structural projects in Illinois according to IDOT standards is essential.
- Must be a Professional Engineer licensed in Illinois or eligible to obtain the license.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
